Videos
These two videos show normal class days at our institute in Bamyan, Afghanistan. In the videos you can see students studying English, learning computer programs, and working in our small library. The teachers are helping students with their lessons, and the students are happy to learn. Boys and girls are studying together in the same classes. It was a peaceful place for education, and everyone had hope for the future.
Before, female students could come to class, learn English, use computers, read books, and prepare for their goals. Many girls dreamed of becoming teachers, doctors, translators, or leaders in their community. They came to our institute with excitement and big dreams.
Now the situation in Afghanistan is very different. Many female students are not allowed to go to school or university anymore. They have very limited access to education, and many of them must stay at home. Their dreams and plans for the future have become very difficult. Many girls and young women want to study, but they do not have the same freedom as before.
These videos remind us of a better time: when girls and boys could learn together, when classrooms were full of hope, and when education was open for everyone. They show what Afghan girls have lost today—the chance to learn, to grow, and to follow their dreams.
Even with all these difficulties, Afghan girls still want education. They still have hope inside their hearts. We pray and wish that one day they will be allowed to study again, and that schools and institutes will open their doors to every student, without any limits.
